If one parent us citizenship and other is a Chinese citizen can the baby born usa get Chinese passp

Would like for my child to be Chinese citizen and not U.S. citizen. If she gets a travel document can she go to China without us passport?

If the baby doesn’t hold US passport, she can get Chinese passport.
If her mother didn’t get the green card before she was born, she can get the Chinese travel document to go to PRC with US passport.
