Duration of L visa from UK

I've heard that from January 2016 L typess will normally be for 2 years multiple entry for UK citizens, though this isn't reflected on the Embassy website. Is this right or will the Embassy still choose to issue one year entry permit? And is there any requirement to enter the PRC within three months of an L type being issued?

Steve, it depends on what type you will apply for. Normally, if you apply for a 2-year multiple-entry tourist L type, you can get it eventually. The stay duration may be 30 days or 60 days. Based on what I know, there is no requirement to enter PRC within three months after an L type is issued.
