Work permit in china

Hi I'm Ikram from Pakistan I'm in china for my work z visa with some Chinese factory. They ask me to go to Shanghai Pakistani consulate for your visa is there any need to visit there

Ikram, what do you mean? What do they ask you to go there to do? Based on what I know, usually, one doesn’t need to go to the consulate general of their own country when they enter PRC with a work Z type.
