About:China Visa

If travelling through China on a 24 hour TWOV, what is the transit time for Urumqi please?

I have read from a couple of sources that the transit time for Urumqi on a 24 hour TWOV is only 2 hours, if transit time takes longer than 2 hours then is a visa G required? I have read that this 2 hour transit time changed as from January 2016. many thanks for you assistance.

According to the information from TIMATIC data base, one needs to apply for a transit G type if she/he transits in Urumqi for more than 2 hours. You are advised to contact with Urumqi airport immigration inspection office and confirm that.
