About:China Private Visit Visa

Hi. I need to stay in china for at least 5 months. What visa should I apply? Fr. Philpippines

I have a relative working in shanghai

Cheyen, if the relative is one of your immediate family members, you can apply for the S2 type. If he/she is not, you may not get the S2. Furthermore, if you don't study or work in PRC, it's hard to stay for at least 5 months.

The required documents include:
1. your passport and copy of its data page
2. the filled-out application form attached with a passport-style photo
3. proof of your financial support
4. an invitation letter from your relative
5. copies of your relative’s passport and residence permit in PRC
6. the relationship certificate

After preparing all the required documents, you can go to the embassy to submit the application in person, or you can ask someone else to do it for you.
