chinese visitor visa

Question

I am Australian citizen who has chinese friend who wants to visit, she has not been to Australia before. So has no visa. How can she do it easily? She has said i need to send copy of my Aus passport to her for her to be able to get it. Not sure it is safe to send my passport imformation to her .Can you advise me how she can do it from china? The first step is to prepare the required documents including the passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, proof of financial support, personal information, transportation and hotel arrangement, as well as an invitation letter from you, and copy of your passport or ID card.
