do he need visa if its only a transit?

Hello, My fiance is a russian who works in china, for example he already use he's double entry visa  from china, because he's planning to go here at Philippines on may 12, then go back to qingdao china on may 27 for his flight going to russia , do he needs visa if he stay only at the airport  to wait for his flight at the same day??? please help. thanks.🙏🙏🙏

Hi Alona! So he will transit in Qingdao airport? He doesn't need the transit G type entry permit because he is eligible for the 72h free transit policy there.
