About:Ta'er Monastery

My husband is working in China, me and my 22 months old daughter want to apply for s1 visa?

What are the exact requirements for applying for s1 type? Thanks

Tin, the required documents can be as follows:
1. The passport and copy of its data page
2. The application form with a recently-taken passport-style photo attached
3. An invitation letter from your husband
4. Your husband’s passport and residence permit in PRC (copies)
5. Relationship certificate (marriage certificate and birth certificate)
6. Proof of financial support may be required, too.
After, submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for it.

Do I need to have a physical examination and nbi clearance? Also, if the company will assist us for the invitation, there's no need an invitation letter from my husband? Is it the same? Thank u!

Tin, when you apply for the S1 type, the physical examination and police clearance are not required. Even though the company will assist you for the invitation, you’d better get an invitation from your husband, too.
After you get the S1 type and enter PRC, you need to apply for the temporary residence permit and when you apply for it, the physical examination is needed.

There is the format and you can find the invitation letter sample at this website. You can just download it and fill that out, after print it out for your use.

After applying for a temporary residence permit, Do i still need to get marriage contract and birth certificate of my daughter authenticated by the chinese embassy here in the philippines?
