About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

I am flying from LAX to Perth and have an 18 hour layover in Guangzhou.

Is it easy to leave the airport ? What should I see in the city?

Yes, you are eligible to the 24h visa free policy. Upon landing, just apply for a stay permit, and you can leave the airport.
You can go to see Haizhu Square, Pearl River, Beijing Road Pedestrian Road, and Canton Tower during the layover. Remember to return to CAN at least two hours before departure.
