My husband got z visa for 2 months 20 days only.he wants to extend it can he do it in pakistan

Sorry, once the Z type is issued, your husband cannot extend it in Pakistan. He can only try to extend it when he is in China.0

If he got the Z type and entered to PRC, he must change it to work permit.
This work permit is work Z type.
and extend it in PRC before the work permit expired.
