passport less than 6 mths validity

Can I still proceed to make reservation with a passport that has less than 6 mths validity first, and subsequently collect the ticket with my new passport.

You can book the ticket with old passport, but the problem is that you need to show the original passport you used for booking for the collection as well. If the passport number on your new passport are different from the old one, you cannot use the new passport.
