In addition to the copies of round-trip tickets and hotel booking confirmation, you need to submit your passports, a copy of the passports' used pages, application forms, bare-headed photos taken within six months, a travel itinerary, a company covering letter for each member, and a copy of financial support document or copy of latest month personal bank statement. I'm afraid you will be required to submit an invitation from duly authorized unit. In your situation, it should be an “Invitation Letter for Tourist” from Chinese Tourist Bureau. You can obtain it through a qualified PRC travel agency.
