About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London Heathrow to Shanghai Pu Dong (Via FrnakFurt) to Tokoyo and return via Beijing

Hello,
I have been struggling to get a definitive answer to my below query.

I have booked flights from London to Shanghai (via Frankfurt) and return flight from Beijing to London (again via Frankfurt).

I was hoping to go to Tokyo in between (fly from Shanghai to Tokyo and then Tokyo back to Beijing) Can I make use of the 144 hour & 72 hour transit visas?

Thanks

Gareth, as long as your transit time in Shanghai and Beijing is less than 144 hours and 72 hours respectively, you are eligible for the 144 hour free transit and 72 hour free transit in the two cities. Have a good trip!
