how to get shamian island from baiyun district?

I am staying at huigang hotel in baiyun district. How can i get to shamian island from my hotel? And is there any cards to use the subway (like octopus card in hong kong or ezlink card in singapore)

Oh, I know the hotel and it is very close to Jiahewanggang subway station. Just walk to the station and take line 2 to Haizhu Square, where u can transfer to line 6. Get off at Cultural Park and leave from exit E. Walk west for about 5min to the island. And Yang Cheng Tong is the local transportation smart card which is like Octopus Card in HK. For your convenience, you can buy it at the Customer Service Center of Jiahewanggang metro station.
