About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

French passport / Shenzhen ?

Hi,
I'll be flying from London to Taipei then planning on going to Shenzhen for 1.5 days. Then fly back to London (via Taipei or HK)
Would that work with the 72hrs free transit? haven't seen Shenzhen in the list of cities ...
And since I have a french passport, can't either use the Shenzhen VOA visa right ?

Raph, it's a pity that Shenzhen has not implemented the 72-hour free transit policy yet, so it's not in the list. If you fly from Taipei to Guangzhou and leave Guangzhou for HK, you can enjoy the 72-hour free transit. During your layover in Guangzhou, you can go to Shenzhen, but remember that you have to exit from Guangzhou Airport instead of Shenzhen.

It's right that Shenzhen VOA is not available for French passport holders.

Yes, your bet would be to fly taipei to guangzhou, and then leave guangzhou for London. The are frequent trains between guangzhou and shenzhen... You can then go back to guangzhou and fly out of guangzhou to London ( on a flight out of guangzhou to London via any cities except cities in mainland China... ( it can be hk, Bangkok, moscow, dubai, qatar, etc... But not beijing, shanghai or chengdu...)
