student residence permit outside china

Hi i have a student residence permit. Can i apply for the extension or another permit outside china since mine will expire in august.

Javed, it's possible to extend or renew your residence permit at the local exit and entry administration of the Public Security Bureau. However, you can't extend it nor get another one outside PRC. If you are outside PRC, you have to apply for a new visa and get a residence permit after you enter.
