can I write the Visa invitation letter for my wife?

I am traveling to China on business and would like to bring my wife along. I already have an entry permit but she needs to apply for one. Does she need a letter of invitation, and if so can I write one for her? We are residents of Norway.

Erik, you cannot write the invitation to your wife because you don’t have Chinese residence permit. Actually, you wife can apply for a tourist L type to PRC, and in this case, the invitation is not required if she can provide the round trip air tickets and hotel reservation as well as other basic documents.
