how can i teach english in china

What do I need in order to teach English in PRC?  Does the embassy have any programs to help me with this?

Michelle, you need to find a school in PRC to employ you and then you can apply for the work Z type to enter PRC and teach there. Usually, the embassy doesn’t have any programs to help the applicant with that. You need to find one by yourself.
