About:China Work Visa

duration to organize Z-Visa documents & CRP?

Situation: My future employer informed me, that they currently have an 'approval process'. I assume, they are organizing the letter of invitation/work permit and whatever is necessary.
side info: It is for a specialist role in hospitality.

question: If I understood the information at this website correctly, it is also necessary, that the company organizes the CRP?
About how long will it take the hotel to organize those documents (Z-type & CRP) ?

2 weeks/1month/2 months???
I am clueless..

Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

Francine, may I know what is CRP? I have not heard about it before.
It normally takes about 15 working days for the hotel to arrange the work permit and invitaiton letter from duly authorized unit. As for the Z type, you need to apply for it at your country. The process takes about four working days after you submitted all the required documents.

Hi Leo, thanks for your information. Sorry for my use of abbreviations, I meant Chinese Residence Permit.

Yesterday I was informed by the company, that due to 'limited work visa supply in Shenyang, we can not get the Z type at this moment, we will try to apply in June again'.
My interpretation of the above sentence: there a limited work visa for (foreign) workers and/or a company can only receive a certain number of Z-types?
Is it possible that such rules exist!? Or is there any other relevant meaning of the sentence?

I think it's possible that there is a quota of work Z types allowed to issue in each province every month. So you should wait patiently and let the company do the rest things.
