About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

How long can I stay for single entry

So I'm applying Chinese visa right now, and applying the single entry. I'm not sure how long I can stay? My flight ticket is from 5.31 to 7.4, I heard the netry permit is valid for 2 month or 3 months after it got issued, so does that mean if I got it in about 2 week which will be ~April 26th, I can stay until July 26th. Appreicate !

Neil, you have some misunderstanding here. As your flight ticket is from 5.31 to 7.4, I think you can apply for a 45-day or 60-day stay duration. The single entry permit is valid for three months and the validity starts from the date of issue. So if you get it on April 26th, it may expire on July 26th. However, as long as you enter before the "enter before date" shown on the entry permit, you can stay a full stay duration. So actually you don't have to exit before the expiry date. Hope you can understand it clearly.
