About:China Visa

irish passports shanghai

My wife & I arrive by cruise in shanghai 12 may. We are in hotel for 2 nights and fly Home via HK (only 3 hour transit here) on 14 may. We are travelling on irish passports.
Can we avail of 72 or 144 hour visa . We arrive wusongko cruise terminal

Alan, as long as your last stop before entering Shanghai is not Hong Kong and other parts of China, you can avail yourself of the 144-hour free transit policy.

We do visit HK overnight on 4 may but do 3 other countries after this before reaching china. ....presume this doesn't affect our 144 free transit
