About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Renew an expired visa.

I traveled to China 4 years ago, 2012, on a 1 yr multiple entry one. Can I renew that entry permit after for years or will I need to apply for a new one. If I need to apply for a new one, is there anything special I need to do to get the 10yr multiple entry one?

Thanks,
Carter

Carter, you cannot renew it and you need to apply for a new one.
If you want to apply for the 10-year one, your passport must have at least 1-year remaining validity. Other documents are the same including your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a recently-taken passport-sized color photo, round trip air tickets and hotel booking record. And then submit your application to the consulate general of PRC to apply for it.
