Is this a good time to visit there? What would be the most challenging issue during this time of year?

Actually, the most challenging issue during that period of time would be the typhoon. Althought the climate would be still warm and moist, September and October are rainy months in this area. I'm afraid that you need to stay at indoor and reduce the outdoor acitivites. Thus. you are advised to visit there from November to May next year. If possible, change your travel plan. :)
