About:China Work Visa

Copies or originals

I am planning on going to China to teach English this June-when applying for my Z Visa-do I need the original invitation letter from my school or can they scan and send it to me? Just need to know if they are going to have to air express the original to me.

On a side note-the documents that I have to provide to them in order to obtain my letter of invitation-my BA degree, my TEFL certificate and passport cover page-these can be scanned by me and e-mailed to them, correct? Then when we arrive in PRC and report to the authorities, I show them the originals?

Please Advise.

Audrey, the invitation letter doesn’t have to be the original one. A scanned copy is fine in most cases. But sometimes, the original invitation letter may be required, too. It’s hard to say.

You can just send them the copies. When the original ones are required, you can give them to the authorities. And after the process is done, the original ones will be given back to you. Don’t worry!
