About:Chinese Embassy in Cambodia

Interim Visa to return to China

I am leaving Mainland PRC for Cambodia for family vacation. I just left the USA and applied for Z type to PRC but it takes over 2 weeks to complete and my trip is this weekend. Will I be able to apply for a temporary travel entry permit to PRC from Cambodia in order to return with my family?

Greg, you mean you are applying for the temporary residence permit currently? If yes, you can ask the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to issue a temporary travel certificate to you. In this case, you can go to Cambodia for vacation and then return to PRC.

Hello Hugo, many thanks and I wish it were that simple. It seems if the PSB issues me any other type I will lose all efforts applied to the Z type process. I am truly disappointed in this turn of events.
