Rice Terraces Longsheng

I want to go to Quan Jing Lou Hotel in Rice Terraces for the night. My friend is not very fit. Is it better to take cable car to Golden Buddha and walk from there? Is there another hotel with good views close to Golden Buddha ?

Quan Jing Lou Hotel is an ideal spot to view the intoxicating rice terraces. After taking a cable car up to the Golden Buddha, you need to spend around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach to Quan Jing Lou Hotel, and you may easily get lost without a tour guide. For accommodations near the Golden Buddha, you may consider the Golden Buddha Summit Hotel. It is adjacent to the upper station of the cableway. May you have a nice trip! :)

Hi David,

Thanks for your prompt reply. So physically it is the same challenge as walking from the base camp at the car park? Spending time or getting a guide is not a problem as long we don't have to do any steep climbing. Basically we want to get to this hotel without the least amount of uphill climb.

Yes, it is challenging and exhausting. To avoid much steep climbing, you may get the cable car up to Golden Buddha, and stay at the Golden Buddha Summit Hotel close by.

But we want to see all three peaks AND want to stay in Quan Jing Lou hotel for the night. Basically what I want is the easiest option do that-with or without the cable car. We don't mind walking for couple of hours hours as long it doesn't involve steel climbing. Thanks in advance.

Oh, I see. You can take the cable car up to Golden Buddha. Then, hike to Quan Jing Lou to have a panoramic view of the terraces. It should take about 45 to 60 minutes (I am sorry for the mistake). Afterwards, hike to Qianceng Tianti. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

The hiking route is not very precipitous. It is flat, but it has many fork roads so that you may easily get lost. Therefore, you are advised to hire a tour guide. May you have a great time! :)

Dear David. Many thanks for your help. Seems you are familiar with the terrain so few more questions.
1. Earliest bus from GL to Dazhai-if you know
2. Trekking time from Parking lot to Zazhai village.
3. There seems very little information about the topic online. Any advice, suggestions? We will be cruising Li and Yulong river as well. Are you familiar with them?
