what kind of visa you get and where you get it in San Francisco.

As USA passport holder, you want to stay in Chongqing for 30 days or more, like 1 year. As visitors, what kind of visa you get and where you get it in San Francisco. How much is it?

George, if your stay is less than 90 days, you can simply apply for a L type visa. If you want to stay for as long as a year as a visitor, I don't think it's feasible. You need to apply for a long term visa, like S or Q type if you have family there, or a work Z type, or a student X1 type.

You should apply from the China consulate in SFO. The cost is 140 dollars.
