Astana-Karakhoja Ancient Tomb? Is that Abakh Khoja Tomb? It is in Kashgar, not in Turpan. If you want visit there, you should take bus to Urumqi and fly to Kashgar.

As I know, the best time to visit Turpan is in Autumn(Sep-Nov) when the weather is pleasant and sceneries are good.
