G266 train to Tianjin to Hiliday Inn Riverside

How to get from Tianjin South train station (our train is G266) to Holiday Inn Riverside?

The nearest station is Jinshiqiao Metro Station, about 1.4 miles (2.3 km) away. You may take metro line 3 from South Railway Station to Jinshiqiao Station. Then, take a taxi to the hotel for CNY 9. Nowadays, DDC is widely used in many hotels. To avoid this, you may book the hotel online in advance.

Well, generally speaking, the fare of an official taxi is CNY 60 to 70 in the day time. So the fare you paid is not reasonable. But I cannot find that cab. You are advised to pay more attention to this situation next time. And try to find an official one or negotiate a price before getting on the car.

Does anybody know if Holiday Inn Riverside use DCC (dynamic currency conversion)? I stayed several times in IHG hotels in China and every time they used DDC so I am afraid HIR also uses it. DDC - the hotel presents you a bill in CNY, you give the your credit card in USD for example, they charge you a sum in USD - the amount in CNY the hotels' bank, not Visa or MC, converts into USD with the exchange rate around 6 instead of 6,4 so you lose around 5-7%.

We took an official taxi with all taxi attributes on exit from South Train Station (train G266 from Jinan) to Holiday Inn Riverside hotel.Taxi meter showed 8 on switch on and 144.90 on arrival. The driver refused to give me a receipt. I did not understand his explanations why that. The hotel says we have been cheated. Taxi was a WV of jade color, plates - E22257. Have we been cheated?
