About:Lanzhou - Xinjiang High Speed Train

Xian to Lanzhou

Hi,
May I know if we landed at Xian airport, how to go to Lanzhou in order to take high speed train to Urumuqi?
If we stop at Xining, do we need a permit for exploring Xining like Tibet?
Since our visa maximum stay is 30 days, what if we did not manage to complete our pre-planed itinerary, could we renew/extend our visa? If so, please advise where to extend?

After you arrive at the airport, you can take the airport shuttle bus to Xian railway station and go for Lanzhou by rail. Then you can transfer to Lanzhou West station for the high speed ride to Xining. There should be no permit needed for this trip. If you need to extend the visa, you would need to apply for that at least 7 days in advance. You would need go for local Public Security Bureau Exit and Entry Administration office. Once the new one issued well, your old visa can not be used.
