Best month to Dunhuang - Turpan - Urumqi - Kashgar - Urumqi & Lanzhou

Hi,
May I know which month is the best month for the above destinations?
Is mid Oct to mid Nov very cold?

The good time to visit the above destinations is from May to October. The weather is getting cold after October.
