About:China Visa Application Requirements

Is it cheaper to exit to HK or renew in China?

My f visa expires May 10th, but I don't plan to return to the USA until May 30th. What is the cost to renew/extend it in mainland? It's 180$ to fly to HK, so is exiting cheaper or are they the same?

Dear, an extension in mainland PRC is cheaper because when you re-apply for it in HK, except the application fee (which is the same HKD 1100), you also need to pay the transportation and accommodation fees. Besides, if you don’t have HK residence permit, it may be difficult for you to apply from there.

Hi Edward, thanks for your reply.
I am not re applying, I have a multiple entry 90 day permit, I just have to leave at the end of my 90 days to exit and return for another 90 days. But there is also an option to remain in mainland and go to office and pay to extend my time. Seems the flight to HK and the fee to extend are the same , but I wanted to see how cheap it was to do in country
