I wish to hire a full day taxi (preferably a GL8 type big car) in Nanjing for sightseeing.

Please advise if any reputed travel agent at reasonable price. Or Can I use an Uber like service there?

Yes. Uber service is available in Nanjing. You may use it for transfer.
