About:Hong Kong MTR

Airport express or mtr (from hong kong airport to admiralty station)

Hi, it's our first time visiting hk. I'd just like to ask how long is the journey from HK international airport to admiralty station? We're planning to head straight to ocean park from the airport. Is it much faster to go thru the airport express or just stick with the mtr? And what is the fare difference between the two? We are 2 adults and 1 toddler. So the easiest and much faster way is desirable. Thank you.

For your journey, take Airport Express to HK Station within 25min. Walk to Central Station and transfer to Island Line to Admiralty within 10min. In this way, you need to spend 90HKD.

If directly to Ocean Park, Airport Express is still recommened. Take it to HK Station with the fare of 90HKD. Walk to Central Pier no. 7 , where you can take bus no. 629 to the park with the fare of 10.6HKD per person.

PS. The toddler (under 3y/o) can take all transportation for free.

Hi leo, thank you for the response. May I also know between causeway bay and ladies market which do you think offers a better shopping experience? We only have a 4 hour window time (including transport time) on our last day in HK to do shopping before heading over to the airport. We will mostly buy souvenier items. Thanks a bunch.

Both of them are good places for shopping, while the former is more famous for clothing and the latter for dining & snacks. If wanting to buy souvenirs, Tsim Sha Tsui and Golden Bauhinia Square can be your choices. In addition, many reasonable souvenirs are available at the attractions like Disneyland, the Peak and Ocean Park. If possible, buy some during visiting.
