What is proper at the end of the tours in China? Do I give a gift?

I am hiring private tour guides when I visit Xian and Beijing.

You can give a gift or some tip if satisfied with the service. If the gift is from your country, it will be better. For the amount of tip, it based on the service quality and length of the itinerary. For a 3-day itinerary, CNY300 will be fine.
