Considering your situation, you can apply for a tourist L type to enter PRC and visit your cousin brother.
The first step is to prepare the required documents including your passport and copy of its data page, the filled-out application form affixed with a passport-style photo, a letter from a local travel agency, the invitation letter from Chinese tourist Bureau, your travel itinerary and recent 3-month bank statement. And then submit the application to the consulate general of PRC to apply for it.
