English and Hangzhou return

Hi there, thanks for all the info. I have a few quick questions: ate there any specific English language ticket offices? And for a day trip to Hangzhou, do I need to book my return trip in the morning or can I turn up in rn evening in Hangzhou East and presume there will be tickets left (on a Thursday). Thanks!!!

Hello, Phelan! It is indeed not easy to find English service in China. I used to read that there seems a English speaking window in Hongqiao station but I did not notice that and used a normal window instead. It is still advisable to have your tickets in advance rather than only a few hours before departure. The availability is very hard to say, sometimes it may sold out when the time is really approaching.
