We stay at Marriot City centre Shanghai. How to go by metro to Yu Gardens ?

You can take public bus no.64 at Changsha Road West Beijing Road, get off at Xinbeimen Station. Then walk south around 300 yards (270 meters) to arrive at Yuyuan.
