About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Time frame of application

Hello this is Julia from China. I have a friend from Adelaide and he submitted all of his documents from last Thursday. But he still haven't gotten any response from Chinese embassy and didn't get his passport back. What's more, the embassy didn't charge any money from his credit card so he's worried about that. Can he still get the visa ? Because he really wants to go to China and he already purchased the air ticket and hotel in China. If he can't come to China he will lose a lot of money. Can you help me ? Thank you

Julia, did he submit his application to the CVASC in person or mail it there? If he mailed his application to the CVASC, it’s normal because it usually takes 10 working days by post.
Besides, usually, when you pick up the passport, you pay for it. So wait for a little while.

Yes he did mail those documents. He just frustrating because they haven't charged him any money and he thought it means the embassy failed his application.
