About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Is this acceptable for the 72 hour transit visa? Singapore > BJ > KL > Singapore

Acceptable arrangements??
1. Travel direct from Singapore to Beijing, then stay in Beijing for less than 72 hours, then depart BJ to Kuala Lumpur, then transit directly from KL to Singapore (without leaving the KL airport). Effectively out of Singapore and into Malaysia (albeit briefly only in Malaysia)
2. Same as above, but travel into and out of Tianjin instead of Beijing
3. Is it possible for the above, but with travel into Tianjin and out of Beijing, or vice-versa?

1. Mike, if so, you can enjoy the free transit in Beijing.
2. If you transit in Tianjin, the 72 hour policy is also applicable to your situation.
3. I’m afraid you cannot enjoy the free transit if you travel like that because in regard of the 72 hour policy, you can only transit in one Chinese city. But if your total layover time in Tianjin and Beijing is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit.
Actually, Singaporean passport holders can enjoy free entry to PRC for a stay of no more than 15 days, so you can travel like that.

Thanks Caroline, makes sense. I am actually an Australian citizen trying to find a way to get a short term free transit(hassle free) way to spend a 3 day holiday in China
