Entry codes, what does it mean?

I have an M next to entries on my visa. Does this mean I have been issued a multiple entry M type as I only applied for single entry?

Yes, Sarah, you have been issued a multiple entry type. You know, sometimes, the officer will give you multiple entries even though you just apply for a single entry. Anyway, for UK citizens, the fees are the same.
