About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 Hour TWOV

I am an American Citizen and traveling from USA to Tokyo for 5 days, then from Tokyo to Shanghai for 5 days and then back to USA. Can I use the 144 hour Travel without visa to Shanghai?
