To the fort: Take bus no.4 or no.6 to the terminus, and walk to the ticket office. The two bus lines both operate from 7:00 to 20:00 and costs CNY 1.

To Cresent Lake: Take a train to Dunhuang (about 4 to 6 hours). You need to pay CNY 53.5 for a hard seat; CNY 99.5 for a hard sleeper; CNY 152.5 for a soft sleeper; CNY 264.5 for a luxury soft sleeper. Upon arrival, take a taxi to the lake.

To Tianshan: Take a bullet train to Urumqi (about 7 hour). You need to pay CNY 333 for a second class seat; CNY 400 for a first class seat. Upon arrival, take a bus to Tianshan from People's Park.
