To Big Buddha, take bus line E23 from Kowloon Union Church, Jordan Road to Tung Chung Crescent, Shun Tung Road Station. Then, take the cableway up to see Big Buddha.

To Tai O Village, take bus line E23 from Kowloon Union Church, Jordan Road to Tung Chung Fire Station, Shun Tung Road Station. Then, change to bus line 11 from Yu Tung Court Station to Tai O. Or, you may take a ferry to Tai O from Tung Chung New Development Ferry Pier.

For the return trip, you can take the same bus and ferry lines. :)

Persnally, MTR can also be good choice. Take Tsuen Wan Line at Jordan to Lai King, where transfer to Tung Chung Line. Take it to Tung Chung Station and then walk to the cable car station from exit B. Take the cable car onto the NP360 and see the Buddha. Further to Tai O Village, bus no. 21 can be used.
