When is the appropriate month to go to see the cherry blossoms?  I am from Philippines, is it easier to go to there via Singapore or Hongkong?

Yes, the cherry blossoms at Yuantouzhu Scenic Area is quite intoxicating. As I heard, the festival in 2016 shall last from March 20th to April 20th. You may go for a visit. By contrast, HK can be better for transfer. But if you fly into Shanghai and then take direct intercity bus to WX, it saves you much trouble.
