About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We arrive in Beijing via the Port.

We are in Beijing for 48 hours with an all day tour from Beijing arranged by the tour company Cruise 1st .com
Do we need a visa?

Hi Collins, you need to apply for L type entry permit before the trip.

Thanks Collin can i mention i read this on this forum " after visiting Beijing, where will you leave for? If you leave for HK, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit " . Do u know if its true , as HK is part of china Now .
My flight plan is from London to beijing (stay less than 72 hours ) then HK then Bangkok and then BK to London . I will omit Beijing if can not get transit visa . too much hassle to apply for normal visa .
