About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

8 hours transit at Baiyun airport

In July I will have 8 hours transi 5.40pm to 1.40am. Can anyone please suggest what is best way I can make use of the time? Thank you.

As you arrive in the afternoon, I suggest you take subway or shuttle bus to Haizhu Square. You can make the most of your time to enjoy the nightview of the Pearl River or roam around the Beijing Road nearby for shopping and dining which is one of the most famous pedestrian streets in the city. After that, take a taxi back to CAN within 40min. Make sure to return to the airport at least two hours before the flight's schedule.
