About:China Consulate in Houston

How will they know if you go to a different consular embassy than the one your state is assigned?

My parents live in California, but I live in a state assigned to submit my visa application to a different embassy. Can I put down their address and go to their embassy? How will they know that's not my address anymore?

Dear, I think they can know your address by your driver license or social security card. So if possible, don’t do that.
