Taking medication

I am planning a visit to China with a friend who suffers from Epilepsy, he is required to take medication, he has the drugs Lamotrogine and Clonazepam prescribed by his Doctor, are these medications permmited to be taken in?

You can take it but only the self-use dose for the trip. Don't forget to bring the doctor's recipe.
