About:China Transit Visa

I travel from Sri Lanka to Japan via Hong Kong.

On the return journey, I have to stay 9 hours transit time at Hong Kong airport. Do I need a visa? And if I need it, from which country will issue me this valid entry permit?

Thanks

Yes, you need it. You can apply through the PRC embassy in your country or through the HK Immigration Department directly by post.
